One of these is possibly Miss L Bushby who sang in the 1891-92 Tasmanian Exhibition Choir as a soprano. Leah (born 4 Mar 1872) and Lucy Lillian (born 3 Mar 1874) were the daughters of Richard Bushby and his wife Bridget Condon who were married in South Australia on 24 Jan 1852. Richard died in Launceston on 21 Nov 1883 aged 56 and Bridget died in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1907, aged 75. There were 13 children in the family.

Leah Bushby married Peter Hosking in New Zealand in 1906 and had three children: Bessie Gwen, born 1906; Stanley, 1908; and Geoffrey Keith, 1910. Leah died in New Zealand in 1955.

Lucy Bushby married Ernest Taylor, a machinist, on 25 Jan 1900 at Launceston and had a daughter Leah Joyce on 20 Nov 1900. Lucy and Ernest were living at 29 Lawrence Street, Launceston in 1903-04, with sister Leah who was a dressmaker. They moved to New Zealand where a son Tasman Thorpe was born in 1906 and died in 1964. Lucy died there aged 77 in 1952.
