Oswald Edwin Craw was born in Launceston on 21 Oct 1874, the second of eight children born to William Craw (1845-1916), a blacksmith and wheelwright, and Mary Ann Gunn (1849-1899). Mary Ann was a sister of John and Thomas Gunn, timber merchants and builders in Launceston. Oswald was educated at the Launceston High School and worked as a clerk at J & T Gunn his whole working life. He was a first cousin of the other Craws in the Family Album. Oswald Craw died on 29 Nov 1952. His ashes were interred in the Rose Garden at Carr Villa.
