Francis Frederick (Frank) Frost was born in Launceston on 28 Feb 1868, the eldest son of John Frost (c.1837-1912) and his wife Amelia Annie Sage (1843-1933). Francis was a warehouseman and married schoolmistress Bessie Jane Steer a month before the Tasmanian Exhibition on 28 Oct 1891. Their son Eric was born 6 Nov 1892. Francis sang bass in the Exhibition Choir. The family had left Tasmania by 1913 and moved to Middle Park, Victoria. Francis was a manufacturer and Eric was employed as a clerk and agent. Francis died in Melbourne on 23 Feb 1945. See The Examiner 25 Mar 2006, p.30.
