Emma Hesketh, born at Bothwell on 20 Apr 1856, was one of ten children of Rev. Wickham Meyer (Moyes) Hesketh (1811-1868) and Georgiana Averina Moore (1828-1879). Rev. Hesketh was the Anglican minister at Bothwell when Emma and her twin brother Charles Edward were born. She or her sister Louisa was a soprano in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. On 25 Nov 1896, when she was 40, Emma married 59 year old Henry Edward Bowcher. Her sister Louisa and brother Leonard are also pictured in the Family Album.
